New York non ti aspetta.
New York, linea 7 - Frank e Lana
New York isn’t made only of hurried steps and rusted dreams.
It’s made of the spaces between one heartbeat and the next.
And I photograph those spaces.
Frank was one of them.
A shadow among shadows, standing on the edge of the Line 7 platform just as the doors were about to close behind him.
Lana, only a few meters away, let her gaze drift over the rain falling on the subway tiles, as if searching for a missing piece of herself.
They didn’t see each other.
Above them, the city bent itself in the reflection of a departing train, a faded flag, and a barely lit window — where someone, maybe another Frank, maybe another Lana, held their head in their hands, searching for an answer.
New York doesn’t wait for you.
It asks: “How much are you willing to lose to chase what you love?”
The rain erased every footprint.
Faces blurred behind fogged glass.
And in the futile race from one platform to another, only one question remained:
What if we’re always too late for the things that truly matter?
